Agflation¶
A period when food and agricultural-commodity prices rise substantially faster than the general price level, creating a sector-specific inflation gap with acute food-security and distributional consequences.

Agflation or agrarian inflation is the relative acceleration of agricultural and food prices beyond broad inflation or nonagricultural price growth over a specified period.
