Critical theory¶

Core Idea¶
Critical theory joins explanatory social analysis with reflexive normative critique of domination and the practical possibility of transforming it. It reconstructs institutions and knowledge within power relations, exposes contradictions between professed norms and lived conditions, and connects understanding to collective praxis. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
