Epilogue¶
A concluding section situated after a narrative’s main action that supplies closure, later consequences or a bridge to subsequent installments from within the represented world.
Core Idea¶
Epilogues differ from afterwords spoken by the author outside the story and from denouement inside the main plot; media may use outro for a related terminal segment. After the central conflict ends, narrative time or viewpoint shifts to reveal residual outcomes, settle character arcs or reframe the preceding events before the work closes. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
