Scope of Application¶
Fantasy-prone personality applies when the analyst can specify an individual's recurring pattern of imaginative experience and self-reported or observed responses across development and contexts, assessed with a named research construct and instrument and establish that the construct concerns a comparatively enduring disposition toward frequent, vivid, immersive fantasy involvement assessed across more than one isolated episode, with the measurement model and boundary from impairment or psychosis explicitly retained. This entry is descriptive and non-diagnostic. It does not assess a reader, infer trauma, explain an individual's memory, or substitute for qualified clinical evaluation when experiences cause distress, impairment, or safety concerns.
Clarity¶
A clear claim names the carrier, governing rule, assumptions, and recognition test.
