Flipism¶
A satirical decision philosophy that delegates choices to a coin flip, originating in Carl Barks’s 1953 Donald Duck story.
Core Idea¶
Flipism treats random binary selection as the governing rule when choosing between alternatives, often as parody of abdicated judgment. A coin externalizes the choice and severs outcome selection from reasons, preferences, or forecasting while still forcing commitment to one branch. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
