Inclusion rider¶
A negotiated contract provision requiring specified diversity, inclusion or opportunity standards in casting, hiring or production staffing.
Core Idea¶
Also called an equity rider, the provision can state targets, qualified pools, reporting, exceptions and remedies; legal enforceability and protected categories vary by jurisdiction and bargaining context. A person with bargaining leverage conditions participation on measurable representation commitments, the producer incorporates them into staffing processes and reporting or remedies make compliance reviewable.
