Lean enterprise¶
An organization-wide management practice that defines customer value, maps value streams, improves flow and pull and pursues continuous waste reduction across functional boundaries.
Core Idea¶
Lean enterprise extends lean principles from isolated production cells to the full organization and partner network. Teams expose end-to-end work, remove non-value steps, reduce queues and defects and use demand signals and feedback for continuous improvement. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
