Core Idea¶

The label intentionally includes religious and nonreligious positions, but not every opinion forms an integrated stance; content, authority, practice and identity must be distinguished.^[1] Beliefs about reality and ultimate concern organize evaluative priorities, which guide recurring practices and commitments and provide a frame for interpreting choices and events. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.

The load-bearing residual is not the broad topic of philosophy of life.
