Microtraining¶
A short structured workplace-learning format that activates informal knowledge exchange in sessions of roughly fifteen to twenty minutes.
Core Idea¶
Microtraining differs from generic microlearning by emphasizing facilitated social interaction and a recurring opening, activity, feedback and closing structure. A focused prompt activates prior knowledge, participants exchange and apply one small unit and immediate reflection links it to subsequent work. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
The load-bearing residual is not the broad topic of workplace learning. It is the domain-specific identity determined by the organization and learners, learning objective and prior knowledge, session length, facilitator, activity sequence, social interaction, work-context transfer and follow-up evidence are explicit.
Scope of Application¶
Microtraining belongs to workplace learning and is useful where the analyst can specify the typed workplace learning carrier, defining objects and relations, parameters, conventions, evidence, boundary cases, and comparison targets, then evaluate the organization and learners, learning objective and prior knowledge, session length, facilitator, activity sequence, social interaction, work-context transfer and follow-up evidence are explicit. Clarity¶
