Core Idea

Non-cooperative does not mean players never coordinate; cooperation can emerge endogenously when strategies, communication, repetition and enforcement are represented inside the game. Players choose strategies under specified information, payoffs depend jointly on choices and equilibrium concepts identify profiles in which unilateral or sequential deviations do not improve the relevant objective.
