Read fulfillment quality as one customer-facing scalar — the product of complete, on-time, undamaged, and correctly-documented sub-rates — so multiplicative decay (four links at 95% giving 81%) becomes visible and the binding sub-rate is read off directly.
Core Idea¶
Perfect Order is a conjunctive fulfillment-quality metric: an order counts as perfect only when it is simultaneously complete, on time, undamaged, and correctly documented — all four satisfied together. Its diagnostic force comes from conjunctive arithmetic: when the sub-rates are independent, the index equals their product, so four criteria at 95% deliver a perfect order only about 81% of the time. This multiplicative decay is invisible when each department tracks its own sub-rate. A SCOR-model standard.
Scope of Application¶

Clarity¶
Naming the Perfect Order pins fulfillment quality to a conjunctive success criterion read at the order level, making legible a failure mode departmental dashboards hide: every link posts a respectable number while the order is right far less often. The conjunctive form sharpens where to look — the binding sub-rate — and who is accountable, shifting from the local link to the joint outcome.
Manages Complexity¶
Fulfillment quality left unaggregated is a scatter of departmental numbers no one can combine. Perfect Order compresses that scatter to a single scalar by reading the criteria conjunctively and taking their product, surfacing the multiplicative decay that averaging would absorb. From that one number the manager reads off the diagnosis and the action — the binding sub-rate — without re-examining each function.
