Naming a location a staging area fixes a readiness state that "storage" and "in the fight" both blur: resources neither raw nor yet committed, but deployable across a short transition. That three-way distinction separates long-term storage from the active stream from the staged middle, exposing dysfunctions that arise from collapsing them — a staging area quietly become a warehouse, or staged stock miscounted as combat power already generated.
