Static universe¶
A cosmological model whose large-scale spatial geometry does not expand or contract with cosmic time.
Core Idea¶
A static-universe model has a time-independent scale factor or equivalent stationary large-scale metric under its specified matter, curvature, and gravitational theory. Equilibrium among gravity, curvature, pressure, or a cosmological term holds the global scale fixed, though stability and observational compatibility require separate tests. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
