Core Idea

It overlaps universal design but emphasizes age-spanning compatibility and market appeal, cannot guarantee identical use by everyone and requires evidence beyond a generic “senior-friendly” label. Designers identify sensory, cognitive and motor variation across the lifespan, provide adjustable or tolerant interaction and integrate accommodations into mainstream form rather than segregated special products. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
