Uniform property¶
A property of a uniform space preserved by uniform isomorphisms, including features such as completeness and total boundedness that need not be purely topological.
Core Idea¶
Uniform properties depend on the entourage or uniform-cover structure that makes uniform continuity and uniform closeness meaningful, so homeomorphic spaces can differ in them when their uniformities differ. A uniform isomorphism and its inverse preserve entourages or uniform covers; transporting the relevant structure across the bijection leaves the declared property unchanged. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
