Visual Interactive Voice Response¶
A contact-center self-service interface that exposes an IVR journey as synchronized visual menus and touch or click interactions on a web-capable device.
Core Idea¶
The term is partly industry vocabulary, implementations differ over whether a voice call persists and a mobile web menu alone is insufficient without integration into the service-session and routing context. A caller or customer receives a session-linked visual interface, navigates structured options and forms, and the platform passes context and results among digital self-service, voice automation and live-agent channels.
