Workforce management¶
An organizational process aligning labor demand with staffing, schedules, skills, attendance and operational constraints.
Core Idea¶
WFM ranges from forecasting and rostering to timekeeping, compliance and employee experience; efficiency objectives must be balanced with law, agreements, fairness, fatigue and worker preferences. Demand is forecast by interval and skill, available workers and constraints are modeled, schedules and assignments are optimized and actual attendance and service outcomes feed replanning. The abstraction is therefore identified by a declared carrier, a transformation or constraint over that carrier, and an invariant that tells an analyst whether the named structure is genuinely present.
