Entrepreneurial discovery is Kirzner's Austrian-economics account of how markets correct their own disequilibria: alert agents notice unexploited profit opportunities — price spreads, misallocated resources, latent demand — and act on them, driving the market toward equilibrium. It has two analytically distinct stages: alertness, a non-deliberative perception of value left on the table (not systematic search, not luck), and purposeful action committing resources to exploit the gap, transmitting information through prices and earning a profit.
