Mechanisms by Solution Family

A solution family is a broad, controlled category for the governing move an intervention makes—such as containing spread, calibrating a response, coordinating dependencies, or restoring function. It groups solutions by how they act, not by their subject matter, origin domain, or implementation medium.

The 60 family labels and definitions were curated first; they are not k-means clusters. Each solution archetype was then assigned to the nearest family using BGE-small semantic similarity over its name, legacy family, problem, intervention, action logic, and expected outcomes, with curated overrides where needed. Mechanisms inherit the family of their primary archetype. This is reader-facing browse metadata, not an ontology or a claim that neighboring mechanisms are identical. Click a column header to sort.
