Example

A national health ministry issues a new sepsis-treatment guideline with a hard protected invariant: antibiotics within one hour of recognition. The translation chain begins by separating that outcome from method — the one-hour target and patient-safety floor are fixed; how a site hits them is not. The regional health authority translates the guideline into a regional care pathway and funds the training. Each hospital adapts it to its own staffing and lab turnaround; a rural hospital without an on-site lab surfaces that the target is infeasible as written. How it works

  • Separate the protected outcome from optional method, stating which invariants must hold everywhere and where local adaptation is legitimate.
