Every continuous watch has a recurring moment of maximum danger: the seam where one watcher leaves and a fresh, uncontextualised one takes over. How it works¶
The briefing is a confirmed, two-way transfer, not a one-way dump. A checklist fixes what must cross — active items, ruled-outs, changed assumptions, fatigue and staffing — and a read-back verifies the incoming watcher actually reconstructed the picture rather than merely hearing it. It happens at the boundary, and it does double duty: by naming where the outgoing watcher's attention had narrowed, it hands the fresh watcher a chance to re-notice what a habituated eye had begun to filter out.
Tuning parameters¶
