Preparation checklist — instantiates Distraction Minimization for Deep Engagement
Stages the workspace before the session — files, tools, tabs, and materials for one target task laid out and everything else cleared — so missing setup never becomes a self-generated interruption.
Many interruptions are not inflicted from outside — they are self-generated, sprung the moment the work needs a file that isn't open, a password that isn't handy, or a reference that lives in another app. Each little errand becomes an off-ramp, and the tab you open to fetch it is where the day gets lost. How it works¶
