Core Idea

Preparatory field conditioning is an upstream action that deliberately changes the environment or recipient state a later focal action will encounter. Its value is mediated by an explicit intermediate state, whose lead time and reversion window determine when the focal action becomes cheaper, feasible, or more effective. A focal downstream action, a distinct earlier action, a target field state, a causal model from that state to focal performance, lead time, duration or decay, and coordinated timing are required. The upstream action is evaluated through the state it creates.
