Cycle Phase Alignment

Align the phases of interacting cycles so handoffs, resources, and decisions arrive when they are usable.

The Diagnostic Story

Symptom: Correct work keeps arriving too late or too early to be used — the output is right but the window has closed, or it arrives before the receiver is ready and goes stale waiting. Cycles that each appear locally reasonable produce recurring waiting, rushed catch-up, and rework when they interact. Each team has optimized its own cadence and created a system-level mismatch.

Pivot: Map the interacting cycles, locate the phase mismatch at the specific handoff or resource-window points, and adjust the phase relation through synchronization, offset, interval, gate, or buffer rules. What matters is the relative timing at the shared dependency, not the local cadence alone.

Resolution: Dependent cycles receive what they need when they can use it. Waiting and idle capacity decrease, missed decision windows become rarer, and handoff reliability improves because freshness and readiness are now explicit requirements rather than afterthoughts.
