Entropy Export¶
Preserve local order by moving disorder, waste, ambiguity, heat, or cleanup burden across a boundary to a governed sink with visible accountability.
The Diagnostic Story¶
Symptom: The core system looks clean and orderly, but somewhere downstream — a support queue, a cleanup contractor, an underfunded team, an external environment — is absorbing the disorder that makes the core's tidiness possible. The receiving location is invisible in the primary metrics, so the burden being placed on it never enters the calculation.
Pivot: Define the protected subsystem and the disorder burden it generates, move that burden through a governed export path into a designated sink, make the externalized burden visible, and assign explicit cleanup and capacity obligations. Feed sink impact back into source decisions.
Resolution: Local order is preserved, but the cost and condition of the sink are made visible and accounted for rather than hidden. The system can maintain its protected subsystem without externalizing harm to places with less power or capacity, and sink health becomes a signal that informs decisions at the source.
