Relational Grounding Verification

Verify whether an apparently absolute property is actually grounded in relations to a wider context, reference frame, measurement system, schema, or dependency field.

The Diagnostic Story

Symptom: A property, metric, rule, or identity is treated as absolute and self-contained while actually depending on a context, reference frame, schema, or relation set that was never stated. The claim holds inside one environment and breaks when moved to another — a different department, jurisdiction, measurement system, or scale. Teams debate the real value of something when each side is grounding the claim in a different implicit relation set without knowing it.

Pivot: Inventory the apparently absolute claim, map the relations that could ground it, vary contexts or reference frames to test which parts remain invariant, expose hidden coupling, and document the boundary of validity so it is usable by downstream decision-makers and system migrants.

Resolution: Failures caused by treating context-dependent properties as absolute drop because the boundary conditions are now explicit and testable. Claims migrate more reliably across platforms, schemas, jurisdictions, and scales. Stakeholder disagreements become locatable: parties can identify whether they are disputing the property itself or its relational grounding.
