Signal Amplification¶
Increase the strength or salience of a weak but important signal so it can trigger attention, coordination, or action.
The Diagnostic Story¶
Symptom: A meaningful signal exists somewhere in the system—a warning, an observation, a priority—but it is too weak, too local, or too low-status to trigger the appropriate response. Decision makers say they were not informed even though the relevant data existed. Teams drown in undifferentiated notifications, making genuinely important signals indistinguishable from routine noise. Signals become loud only through scandal, crisis, or escalation rather than through any designed routing.
