A Scenario Walkthrough teaches a script by talking it through. Its defining move is cognitive traversal: a facilitator walks a group forward along the expected event sequence, pausing at each step to ask "what happens next, and why does that step lead to this one?" and "where could this branch?" so participants build a shared mental model of how the situation unfolds and what drives it. No one steps into a role or acts anything out; the whole exercise lives in discussion and reasoning about the sequence, its causal logic, and its forks. It builds understanding of the situation's structure, not embodied skill at performing it.

How it works
