Scenario Reframe Probe is the method that catches this by putting a candidate reframe through a gauntlet of concrete cases — the typical case, the awkward edge case, and plausible future conditions — and asking, at each one, does the decision under the new frame differ from the decision under the old one? Example

An investment committee has been paralyzed by an either/or: concentrate the portfolio in a few high-conviction holdings, or diversify broadly. How it works

  • Take the reframe as the unit under test. Treat the whole candidate reframe — not a single premise — as the object being probed.
